I have taught Confident Childbirth of Atlanta/Kopa Birth Classes for nearly two decades, I’ve helped guide hundreds of new parents in the practical coping skill needed to achieve low-intervention childbirth . When a birthing parent is able to respond to their labor contractions with a positive mindset and when the birth partner(s) are able to provide opportunities for relaxation, focused breathing, along with supporting gravity-promoting position changes, the birthing couple works beautifully together to retain ownership of the sacred event of–Giving Birth. As a labor doula, I share the value of having an experienced birth companion support both parents through this journey of a lifetime.
I also love providing postpartum doula support for new families, who are often sleep-deprived and just beginning to walk into parenthood. After many years working in the corporate world, I have truly have my life’s calling as a postpartum doula supporting young families. I just love helping new parents build their confidence in caring for their precious newborn babe with my tried & true insider tips and skills. I can help parents celebrate their baby’s own unique personality. Helping new parents attune and respond to their baby’s cues and temperament, is often a key component to a peaceful postpartum journey.
I’ve been conducting CAPPA Training events since 2014, for new labor & postpartum doulas, as well as for new childbirth educators. It is such a profound privilege to help launch a new generation of birthing professionals. I truly love the work that I do. I look forward to meeting you soon!
