Postpartum Doula Support Services (Overnight & Limited Daytime) include expert newborn care, skilled breastfeeding/bottle-feeding support, light housekeeping & light meal prep for an 8-hour overnight session/5 hour daytime session during the first 12 weeks (The Fourth Trimester)
Some clients prefer daytime postpartum doula support during the “Witching Hour” which happens late in the afternoon/early evening (4-9pm) when babies can be fussier and over-stimulated. Other clients enjoy sunrise postpartum support from (6am-11am). Flexibility in scheduling is customized to meet specific needs.
-breastfeeding positions and latch tips
-paced bottle-feeding, pumping guidance, bottle/pump parts sterilizing
-interpreting infant cues (sleep, hunger & engagement cues)
-demonstrating proven newborn soothing skills
-newborn bathing tips & infant massage instruction
-emotional encouragement for the family, while adjusting to new parenthood
